The fact that Google Earth is free contributed a lot to the rise in its popularity

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

The Google Earth software application is being used for a lot of uses that was never intended in the first place when the software application was launched. When the Google Earth software application was launched, it was expected that the average surfer of the internet would find the software application a lot of fun. Not only would he be able to ‘fly to’ any location on the earth, he could also fly from a particular spot to another spot. Hence, it was presumed that the Google Earth software application would be liked and appreciated by all its end users for

Using Google Earth to introduce the venue of the event to all its participants is one way to enhance the value of the event!!!

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

A blog on the internet suggested the Google Earth software application should be used by a popular film festival to introduce the venue of the film festival to all the delegates. I think the idea is a wonderful one. Come to think of it, it is very strange that organizers rely on old fashioned and difficult to use maps and photographs to introduce the participants of any event to the venue of the event. There is absolutely no reason why the participants of the event should rely on obsolete methods like photographs and pamphlets. On the other hand, the organizers would create a very good image with the participants and delegates by offering an aerial view of the venue.

If the devil lies in the details, then Google Earth has conquered the devil!!!

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

It is said that the devil lies in the details. Perhaps the Google Earth software application has taken this quote to heart. There is no doubt that any and every software application offering a three dimensional view of the planet earth from space would have been an instant success. However, the reason why the Google Earth software application is such a huge success is due to the fact that it is not just effective in showing the earth from outer space but it is also effective in showing the street in which you live accurately.

Use the Google Earth software application to find directions from one spot to another!!!

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

Hardly a day passes without the end users of the Google Earth software application discovering a new use for the software application. The best part with the Google Earth software application is that the end user never feels bored with using the software application to explore the world. The Google Earth software application brings an unending adventure right to the screen of our computers. End users can start by exploring the city in which they are currently residing. The Google Earth software application can be used to explore the city in detail. Each and every part of the city can be viewed from above and the end user can acclimatize himself with the interiors of the city without even having to step outside the house. Needless to say, the Google Earth software application is a very valuable ally for any person who has shifted to a new city. Rather than face the new city and its unfamiliar layout all by yourself, you can use the assistance offered by technology. You can simply log on to the Google Earth software application and check out the layout of the city. You can mark the landmark spots in your city by using the place mark feature offered by the Google Earth software application. You can then navigate across the city virtually before stepping out in the city in real life.

Use folders to group related place marks to avoid cluttering the virtual earth in Google Earth!!!

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

As we all know, the presence of folders in computers has a purpose. Just as folders are very useful in real life to group similar pieces of paper, virtual folders are very useful in keeping track of all the files on the computer. The same logic has been extended to the Google Earth software application as well. The Google Earth software application comes inbuilt with a ‘My Places’ folder that helps the end user differentiate from other folders in the software application. The end user has the option of creating as many folders within the My Places folder in the Google Earth software application as he or she desires. However, it is pertinent to not that a folder is absolutely useless unless there is something that can be stored in the folder. An empty folder is an absolutely useless folder. An empty folder is a waste of space. In the same way, an empty folder in the My Places folder in the Google Earth software application is nothing but an unnecessary burden placed on the Google Earth software application. The functioning of the Google Earth software application will get unnecessarily affected by the presence of the empty folder in the My Places folder.

We are not the company "Google" which is a registered trademark. We are a non affiliated 3rd party who is providing no cost tips, advice and troubleshooting for various software included in the "Google Software Pack".

I highly recommend the Google Software Pack. It comes with a lot of great software that is all FREE. You can also pick and choose which of the software products you want to download. You don't have to download them all. If you have a Mac or you don't want the Google Software Pack for some reason you can download it directly from the main site.
