The Microsoft Virtual Earth and the MapPoint Web Service provide the required information and the data about a wide selection of nations from all over the world. The details and the age of the map tiles tend to vary according to the availability of the data.

The services like the birds eye view have a limited coverage. Microsoft also makes attempts to provide more up to date data. The up to date data is available in both the Virtual Earth and the MapPoint Web service. 30% of US and some part of UK is covered by 3D view.

The Geocoding: The Virtual Earth will automatically track the addresses and Geocode them. For this, you have to upload them in the Map Point Service. You can upload a single address at a time and multiple addresses in batches.

The driving direction for the places: The Virtual Earth provides a detailed and systematic, driving directions, and the routes for your destinations.

The aerial and the satellite images: These images have very high resolution and hence you can view details of the location that you are viewing.

This tool enables you to import the maps from nay sources and then apply the features of the Virtual Earth to them. It supports different formats of maps. You can apply the different scales to these maps. You can also share them with the other web users.
