Let us consider the mons of Mars: What is mons? This is a frequent question, which ponders many of the users. Mons are nothing but a integral part of the structural features of Mars. It is the broadest volcanoes and even the tallest in the whole of the solar system. This mons is named Olympus. This mons is described very well by the scientists. These mons are very popular. After research was carried out it was found out that mons revealed only the albedo features and not topographic part. Telescopic images revealed that the feature, which was shown by albedo, is in reality a shield volcano. So the name Olympus was adopted to match with the shield or albedo feature.
