Earth, as you know is a beautiful planet in solar system. It is a round in shape. It rotates around itself as well as the Sun at the same time. The solar system has other planets such as Mars or Jupiter, which revolves around itself and around the Sun also. We have learned that all this in our school and almost certainly seen few are showed in a planetarium. The imagery, which that we have about all this are analogue. It means those images were not 3-D. The images did not carry much information also. If you see a physical globe, (which was the only option we have) information that you can obtain from it, is very restricted. You simply cannot attain the information such as distances, weather or roads within the city from that globe.
