This NASA World Wind program is an open source 3D interactive world viewer which was designed by NASA’s learning technology. This program was released in mid-2004. You will think that world wind as simple desk globe but it is not a simple desk globe. With the help of world wind the user can zoom from outer space into the place on earth he wants.

NASA World Wind is a free software from NASA that allows you to interact with aerial and satellite images of the planet. With this amazing software application, you can manipulate and search terabytes of topographical maps, aerial images, and satellite images from various sources such as Teraserver. If you want to explore the planet in 3D then you must install this software as soon as possible.
Many landmarks that are around the planet can be easily marked on these images. Moreover, the icons are clickable. There are links that provide information about every landmark. You can easily manipulate the topographical maps as you do in other satellite programs.
