Google 3D warehouse
The Google 3D warehouse is an online depository of the three dimensional models. Anybody can search for or download the models from the Google Sketch up to the Google 3D warehouse. But if you want to publish your own model, then you are required to have a Google account. Sign in your Google account and then you can do the same. Publishing the models that you have created to the Google 3D warehouse is one of the great ways of demonstrating your work.
If your model a layout of the 3D buildings and want to hare them with all over the world, you can do it. This facility is available in the “Best of the 3D Warehouse” layer in the Google Earth. Only the best models will be sleeted for insertion in this layer. The 3D models are of two types namely: Geo-referenced and non-geo-referenced.
A geo-referenced model refers to a building or any other object in the real world that has been placed appropriately in the Google Earth and has been published to the 3D warehouse. A non-geo-reference model is simple 3D models that are not placed in the Google Earth. It includes interesting things from your model’s surrounding area like trees, people, etc. it also includes abstract art. It is not so that all the models that are submitted in the 3D warehouse are included in the “Best of 3D Warehouse layer in the Google Earth. All the models first go through a review process where they are being checked for their visual completeness, accuracy of location, overall quality and polygon count. The models existing in the real world are only considered as the eligible models.
You can add your models to other user’s collection. For this you need to use the “contact owner” link to which you want your model to be added. The owners of the collection will thus then receive an email regarding this. Don’t forget to include the link to your model in the 3D warehouse in your email so that they come to know which model has to be added. You need to include specific information in the “Description” and “Tags” boxes while adding a new model to the 3D warehouse. This information should include your original name, location, architect, manufacturer, type of object, etc.
You can use the “contact Owner” link provided in the “Cities in Development” collection to provide information about you. There are following requirements to be considered for the “Cities in Development” collection. A submission of new collection should at least contain twelve models existing in the real world and situated accurately in the Google Earth. Multiple users can send these models, so you need to select the best model available in the city.
The models that are included in the “Best of 3D Warehouse” layer are recognized with a particular symbol in the 3D warehouse. If your model needs to be included in this layer, then it should be published to the Google 3D warehouse. Your building should be located using the Google Sketch up and Google Earth. Try to model your building using the Google Sketch up.
