Google Earth knows a lot more about you than you know about Google Earth
Google Earth is a software application. This helps the web user to view the globe digitally. One can view the whole globe sitting at one place. It is not only the images that are viewed with Google Earth but it also provides us with detailed information of that particular location. It maintains the history of all the events that occurred in that particular location. There can be so much of data that it can be impossible for the person staying there to remember the facts and figures of that location but Google Earth can tell you.
Now from where does this information come. There is not a single source; in fact there are a number of sources. Every source serves a different purpose. Some are just for the sake of images while some are for the information purpose.
It is believed by a number of web users that the images are taken from the satellites. But satellite is not the only source of information for images. There are some other sources too. Apart from the satellite images the other sources are the hot air balloons, the air planes, etc.
It generally depends on the requirement of the users. Like there are a number of islands that are of no use to the user are captured with a low resolution. While there are a number of other images that are of utmost importance, they are captured with a higher resolution.

It is not only the data but there a series of photos and videos that are available with Google Earth.
Google Earth collects the data about the geographical details of the earth. That is not the end. Google earth gives us the information regarding the ocean temperatures, the density of population at a particular place, the important tourist places, and the good hotels in a particular location.
There are scientists who study geography and the Biosphere or the life on the earth. Even these people find Google Earth very useful. With the help of Google Earth they come to know about the various details like the distribution of various species on the earth. Apart from this Google Earth can also tell us about the spread of diseases round the globe.
Google Earth also gives information about the international boundaries, the schools, the colleges, the parks, the borders, the highways, the streets, etc. to the users. There are a number of users for Google Earth and each user requires specific information and not all. Google Earth is serving for all these different users and to the fullest extent. Meaning that Google Earth knows much more about the place then what we know even though we belong to the same locality.
The Google Earth software depicts the real earth in the digital form. Even the people belonging to a particular place may not be so familiar with the place, as Google Earth is. It is observed that a plenty of information related to all aspects of life is available with Google Earth.
At this point of time Google Earth is not only used as a source of enjoyment but also as a source of information for the scientists, doctors, engineers, researchers, etc. Google Earth is further trying to improve itself on the weaker parts of it so that it can become the best software ever developed.
