Some important tips before you start using Google Earth
1. Make sure you are using recommended system configuration
It is very important, you system must satisfy all the requirement of Google Earth software to run with ease. You must have a system configured with latest graphic card drivers, processors, high speed modem, and high resolution screen. If your system lacks in any of these then you might face problems such as scratched images, slow revolving earth etc. If such problems occur then it is better to shift either to a new system or upgrade your system as soon as possible. Even your system has fast processor and high speed modem; your earth may appear white if your graphic card is out of date. So, you have to upgrade your graphic card. For MAC if graphic is not up to minimum requirements then Google Earth appears either black or green. This problem is related to your graphic card, so to fix it simply upgrade to latest graphic card. It is also important you should use Direct X mode while you work in Google Earth for better performance.
2. Different layers in Google Earth
Every version of Google Earth provide layer panel on left side in your Google earth window. This panel contains different types of layers and activating them is much helpful to explore the world. Once you have activated them you can view earth’s location with great details. You can also do street level search. Some layers will guide you on how to find best school for your children in nearest area. Some layers can give a chance to view world famous building in 3D and to know more about them. If you activate forest layer, then you are able to visit all the reserve forest across the globe. If you have activated hotel layer then you can visit famous hotels and can book a room for your vacations. So, always take a look that you have activated curtains layers from this panel before you start using Google Earth.
3. Know your Google earth
When you open Google earth on your computer’s screen you will see various features of Google earth. On let side you are provided with search panel which will help you to find different locations on Google Earth. Simply enter your destination and you will fly to your location within seconds. You have a navigation control using which you can rotate your earth in any direction. You can also tilt earth for closer and perfect view. At lower side you are provided with status bar. This status bar helps you to know exact altitude of you from you location. Another status bar nest to it is streaming bar that shows you streaming level of your Google earth.
4. 3D ware house and Google Earth
3d warehouse is Google Earth’s great features which helps you to share your 3D model with other Google Earth users. Only you have to upload 3d model to this 3D warehouse and your friends can either view that model directly in Google earth or can download to use it in their own 3d models.
