Google Earth incorporates Wikipedia in it

Today, Google earth is one of the best sources of information that can be accessed absolutely from any corner of the world.

Wikipedia is the best source of information that is often referenced in stories in Google Earth. Google has announced a small update in the last days to Google Earth. It now consists of new layers that incorporate the Wikipedia articles and the photos form the Panoramio. You are not required to update Google Earth for this. This layer will be automatically seen in the Layers menu.

If you want to get access to this new content while using Google Earth, then just see for the Wikipedia icon on your screen and click on it. You will be shown the summaries for the Wikipedia entries and a connection for opening all the entries in your web browser. Along with the Wikipedia and Panorama data, Google Earth also contains data from the Google Earth community. This data is represented by a yellow small “i” coin in the Google Earth.

Wikipedia’s georeferenced articles are now accessible to you through a layer of placemarks with a popup having an overview, links and photos to the other articles. The co ordination of Google Earth and Wikipedia is a good idea and a step forward towards success by the Google Earth community. It is available by default to a number of people. The rich source of information from the Wikipedia, Google Earth and Panoramio are combined to make a browsable layer in Google Earth. It allows you to fly anywhere in the world and get an idea regarding what people have written about it, posted or photographed.

As you fire up with Google, all the new stuff will appear in the Layers Panel. As you browse the maps, you will see the Wikipedia globe icon and a Panoramio star. By clicking on them, it will provide the data related to the associated content. There is no such other free software that will be so interesting, educative, expansive and offer fun as the Google Earth. In Wikipedia there are tools, that enables you to placemark good Wikipedia articles. You can get the georeferenced articles offered by Wikipedia. These articles can be got buy a layer of placemarks. These articles are designed with photos, overview and provide a link to the other related articles. The georeferenced articles can be given to each other as there is a site that includes various photos by which it can make its network.

The Google Earth community has launched a link in Google Earth that allows you to search for the locations as placemarks. Those using the Google Earth placeopedia will be offered with a networking link. Google Earth file will allow you to see the information from the Google Earth.
