Resolution and accuracy of Google Earth

Google Earth is considered as a globe that is virtual or the globe that is in the digital form. One can view the globe by changing the angle of viewing. The user can roam around the globe free of cost. The user can move freely around the globe by changing the viewing angle and position.

One can observe that there are a number of advantages of the virtual globe over the conventional globe. This is because the virtual globe can display the entire ancient, the present and the predicted future statistics of any subject.

The different views can be the geographical views, roads, 3D buildings, highways, International borders, etc. It is not only this but the Google Earth provides the data of the temperature, the population of a particular place, the history of the earthquake, the volcanoes eruption, etc.

The resolution and accuracy part of the Google Earth is extremely important these days. This is because the Google is not only used as a source of enthusiasm these days but also as a information source. Today, Google has gained a lot of importance in the field of engineering, medical, economics, commerce, arts, etc.

So it is clear that Google has a lot of responsibility on it. Thus working on the resolution and accuracy part of the data and the images is extremely important. There are further application in Google earth namely the Google earth plus, Google earth professional, Google Earth pro, etc. where every application has its distinct advantages.

When it comes to resolution the amount of resolution depends on the user. It is the size of the map the user views at one instance. Thus the resolution is the total ownership of the user. The accuracy part of Google is up to the Google. But Google is trying its best to improve on this.

In case of Google when resolution is thought of, the images that are captured are not always of a particular fixed resolution. The value of resolution per pixel can change. For example the resolution for the oceans is much lower than the resolution of 3D buildings, parks, International borders, mountains, etc. when it comes to land images the satellite resolution is about 15m per pixel.

There are several times when for a particular location there is a need to have a greater resolution. In such case the images are taken from the air craft. The resolution depends on how important a particular place is for the general users. It is all up to the importance of a place. There are a number of islands that are captured at a very low resolution.

There are two other reasons that can also result in inaccuracy or improperly resolved images. The first is the shadow part when the images are captured. In the mountain areas the images are captured with a shadow. The other is the uneven surface of the earth. This results in the incomplete information in the images. In this case the Google earth takes overlapped images of that location in the parallel planes. This results in getting appropriate information in the final image.

In case of the accuracy, it happens that the Google Earth results in a number of inaccuracies. These inaccuracies are the result of incorrect processing of the data collected. The data is processed by the machines and the people. There is a large amount of data that is available with Google Earth. So there are some errors that can occur. But Google Earth is trying its best to clear these inaccuracies.
