Q. Why some time Google Earth fails to contact main server?
For Windows users, Google Earth conducts online server test. A link is provided to user and the user is supposed to access the address using internet explorer. When the page gets open, Google automatically checks all the requirement components for Google earth for contacting server. If this test gets fail, then you should check your computers firewall settings to confirm it is not blocking server port. If it is so then you should contact your administrator at once. You also need to check whether your internet explorer is set to work offline. If yes then uncheck the box next to this option in explorer’s settings. Google Earth may get trouble to contact server even if pop up blocker is on. Close the program and restart it, by turning of pop up blocker.
Q. Why Google Earth displays *.dll error frequently?
Such type of errors, basically are related to improper installation of the software. So if you see this error then might the installation is not done properly. So to avoid or to get rid from such errors you have to reinstall the Google Earth software on your computer. But even after reinstallation, the error continues then you might need to update your machine’s graphic components like graphic card and graphic card drivers. If you already have the latest version then that also you need reinstall again. But before installing new drivers on your computer make sure they are released in beta version. You also have to install latest DirectX files as these files support heavy graphic.
Q. What does error -5002 means?
This error generally occurs during Google Earth upgrading process. The other similar errors in this category are -5003, -5009, -6002 and -6009. These all errors occur during the up-grading process of old Google earth version to newer one. There is a simple solution to solve this problem. First locate the folder named ‘Installsheild’ stored in c drive. Once you find the folder rename it as “Installsheild_Old’. Now again try to install the software. You installation should get complete, but if it get fail then again download latest version of Google Earth.
Q. Why some time address tab do not recognize addresses?
At present, Google Earth is able to view details of areas from selected parts across the world. So if you are typing address except those selected part then Google Earth is completely unable to view details of the requested area. You also need to check the address accuracy in case if Google Earth gives you suggestions on your query. Some time Google Earth suggests similar addresses for the entered one. These are for user’s convenience and user is supposed to click correct one, which is nearer to user’s given address.
Q. Why computer gives apologies error while installing Google Earth?
The direct meaning of this error is you computer is not installed with minimum requirement components to install Google earth.
