Q. How one can place Google Sketch-up model in Google Earth?
If you want to create and to place a 3D model in Google Earth then first you download the Google Sketch-Up on you computer. Then after installing the software open it and start creating your mode. Once you have finished your model, you have to configure you sketch-up according to Google Earth. Now in Google Earth, turn on the terrain option and fly to your favorite location. Take a snap shot of that terrain and import it in Google Sketch-up. Now you have to make some adjustments to place your 3D model on this imported terrain. First align perfectly your 3d model directly by using toggle terrain button in Google sketch-up. Then select orbit option to get a temporary view of your model. If it okay, then I Sketcyh-up click on place model button on the toolbar. Now view your model is ready to get display in Google Earth
How to place an existing Google Earth model modified using Google Sketch-up again in Google Earth?
A simple method is there to place existing models in Google Earth. First start Google Earth and fly to your favorite location. Through Google Sketch-up take a current view of that place. Be sure, the Google Earth eye as very close to the location for the maximum clarity. Now you have that place ion your Google Sketch-Up for modification with your 3D model. Now select toggle terrain option to turn on the 3d image of your location. This will enable you for the perfect placement of the model. Adjust your model exactly on the terrain so that it will get placed comfortably on the terrain. Now your model is ready to place in Google Earth. Simply click on the place model button on the toolbar in Google Sketch-up and your model will get viewed in Google Earth.
Q. Which version of Google earth one should use to place model created in Google sketch-up?
One can use the latest version of the Google earth to place such model sin Google earth. If you dint want to download the newer version of Google earth and if your using some old version of Google earth then that version should qualify the basic requirements of Google Sketch-up. If it so then you can place your 3d models in Google earth without any problem. But it is strongly recommended that you should use latest version of Google earth to avoid any kind of difficulty while placing model in Google earth.
Q. Why some time Google sketch-up disappears from the Google earth?
you will find many reasons for such situation. One reason is no selection of terrain. If you have not selected any terrain for your model then you are not able to place your any model on Google Earth. If the terrain is not there then the model that you place goes to default location which is Boulder, Colorado, if you are using American version of Google earth or Google Sketch-up.
