What can you expect from Google Earth? Well, the answer in short is, almost everything. The question, as expected opens up huge horizon. Google Earth provides you many things. Current weather, weather updates, traffic conditions (selected locations), geographical information, historical information about places, restaurants or business places all around the globe, nearest route to your destination, wildlife, Tsunami or earthquake warnings and many more things than you expect!
Did you dream of a program like that? Probably not. It is a unique and fascinating virtual globe designed by none other than Google. All of us are Google users. We use Google as the best search engine on internet. Google Earth goes beyond just internet. It gives you a wider view about searching. Google Earth is not limited its search to cities, villages or towns. You can search Mount Fuji or other peaks in Himalaya or Alps, deepest place in Pacific Ocean, live or dead volcanoes etc. That is not all. It will teach you many things which are out of the normal text book. Your travel agent can do it no doubt, but those services will be charged. If you use Google Earth, these things will cost you nothing! It is absolutely free! This virtual globe is free for domestic or primary users. If you want to use Google Earth for listing your business, then you need to pay some small amount.
Now the best one, this is NOT LIMITED to the Earth only! You can travel to the Moon, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter. Of course, Google Earth will not guide you about hotels or restaurants there, but will do all other things. Google Earth will take you there. You can know the temperature, atmosphere, size, distance from the Earth or Sun and things like that, for that particular planet. Google Earth will enable you to actually see planets in our solar system in three-dimensional (3D) view.
