What is 3d warehouse?

The 3d warehouse is a feature of SketchUp through which one can search, share, and store 3d models. To submit the model that one has created he/she has to log in using the Google account. One can include many things in his 3d collection like buildings, houses, bridges, statues, sculptures, couches, cars, people, pets, and several other things. Through the SketchUp one can search for thousands of the models already existing in the warehouse. If the model constructed has natural existence then it can be viewed on the Google earth. The 3d models can also be shared by uploading them in the 3d warehouse from the Google SketchUp

How to download models from 3d warehouse into SketchUp?

To download models from 3d warehouse into the SketchUp follow the given instructions.

1. Go to “Get Models” option in the sketchup.
2. In the 3d warehouse browser one can view both the most popular models as well as the recent models. Search the model of your interest by giving its name, description, location etc.
3. When the desired model is found click on the name of the model to view a larger image of the model and the details as well.
4. Then go to the “Edit with Google SketchUp” option.
5. A message will be displayed showing “Load this directly into your Google SketchUp model”. There will be two options available “Yes” and “No”. Click “Yes” for loading the 3d warehouse model into the current model under use. If you want to save that model on your PC simply click on “NO”
6. If the 3d warehouse model has to be loaded into SketchUp. If the both the current model and 3d model from the warehouse has a location then the user get the option of choosing the location himself. To choose the location click on the “Yes” button and to place the model in its current location select the “No” button.

2. On 3D warehouse web browser you will get latest uploaded models and also the most popular one.
3. One can also do various searches to find the models. The models can be searched through a particular name, a description of the place, any particular location, or any particular tag like any business organization or hotel.
