Adding your listing to the live search maps
Selection of categories for your business offerings
After you provide your business information, you need to choose the right category for, what your business provides. For this, you need to do the following procedure.
1)From the live search local listings center’s website there is an option of “All categories”. From there you can select the category which suites your business. Alternatively, you can also type the keywords in a search box and then, click “Search”. This would search for the categories that match your keyword. From the search results, you can select the right category
2) Moreover, you can select more than one category. For this, you have to select the categories from the Categories associated to your listing box. In this box all, the categories have an arrangement in the order of their importance with respect to your keywords. When you select the categories, arrange them according to their relevance by using the up and down arrow keys. If you wish to delete any categories, click X.
3)Then click. “Next”.
4)If there is, any need to select additional categories for the complete description of your business, you should mark them as well. For example, if you have a business of Hotels or, Restaurants, etc, then you need to select the additional categories.
5)Then again, click “Next”.
This procedure will do the selection of your category.
Reviewing and Submitting the application
After this, you need to review your business information.
For reviewing your business information, you need to follow the following procedure.
a)The information that you provide should be correct and therefore it is advisable that you recheck the information.
b)If the site shows that, some information is missing or not relevant then, you should find it by clicking ‘Previous’ repeatedly until you find such parts.
c)If there is any error about your location on the map, then correct it by dragging the pushpin onto the correct location.
d)When everything is correct, again check and accept the terms for the service agreement and the privacy policy, and submit the application.
Choosing ‘sign-in’ method
Once you submit the application form, you need to select the method for login in the future. There are two methods for login in one is the Windows Live ID and the other is by using the browser’s cookies.
Procedure for selecting the login with the Windows Live ID
a)From the Live Search Local Listing Center website choose the option of ‘Sign in’ and then type the key words ‘Windows Live ID’.
b)Then again, click ‘Sign in’.
Procedure for selecting the ‘Cookies’ for login
For opting for ‘Cookies’, instead of typing the Windows Live ID, you should type Cookies. If you do not have Windows Live ID, then you will have to sign up for it through the option available there.
However, when you choose ‘Cookies’, you must remember the following things.
a)You cannot use any other computer than the one, which you used for the creation of the listing.
b)The Live Search Maps would not provide you any security, and therefore anybody who can access that computer can edit your listings.
c)If you cancel or clear the ‘Cookies’ or even, change the browsers. You will need to go through the confirmation process again. Without this, you will not be able to access your listings.
