Basics of Google earth

You are able to insert your photos in Google earth and for that you have to follow simple method. And if you have fear that anyone will see your photos but there is no need to worry about this because your photos are not viewed to other users of Google earth until you select to share them.

The other thing is that when you insert your photo in Google earth your photo is placed in 3D and cannot display as ground leveled imagery. If you want to add photos, you have to follow simple methods that are given below:

First you have to click on add>photos option then you can see one dialog box

In that dialog box, you have to insert the following information

Name: In this, insert the descriptive label of image.

Link: In this, you have to insert the website address and you can also have to insert the location of your photo that you want to insert. Moreover, if you want to select the photo on your computer you must click browse option.

Transparency: In this, you have to select the opacity of image as it displays in 3D viewer.

Description tab: In this, you can insert comment about image.

View tab: you can make use of this tab to locate your photo manually in accurate position. With the help of this tab, you can also drag this image in whichever location you want.

Photo tab: This setting consists of various functions that are given below:

Camera placemark: this is the location of default viewpoint when you will view your photo.

Tilt: you can make use of this function for the inclination 0f photo to the surface of the earth.

Roll: you can make use of this function in order to rotate the orientation of your photo.

Field of view: With this function, you are able to test out lock aspect of ratio so that you can sustain the actual dimension of your photo.

When you will complete this process, you must click on ok option.

If you have a question that why can’t you your photos in Google earth then answer to your question is when you upload your photos in panoramio it doesn’t mean that they will displayed in Google earth. And your photos are chosen for Google earth only when they fit into the acceptance policy. And only then your photos are displayed first in popular tab of world map and then after few weeks in Google earth. and if you want to check out whether your photos are there in Google earth or not then for that you have to start Google earth and then search out for your photo in the place that you mapped it. In order to find your photo you must zoom in. when you will complete this process and still you can’t see your photo in Google earth then you have to check the status that you will find in below the photo page in panoramio.com.
