The source of information regarding borders and names of locations is a third party. More and more sources are being found out for proper information. Right now there is no facility to incorporate individual feedbacks but they are surely getting considered.

How to correct the "Could not save 'My Places'” error?

You will view this kind of error in two situations. The first is when you exit a file. And the second is when you are trying to save a file when using the application. Whenever you see the "Could not save 'My Places,'" error message just upgrade your existing Google earth version to Google earth 4. If this error is displayed when you are saving a file you need to check for two things. See it is not saved over a locked file and also see that it is not being saved on any location, which does not exist.

I want to insert a movie from Google Earth into Microsoft PowerPoint. How do I do it?

There are the steps to be followed if you want to insert a WMV file into a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. If you have power point 2002 version or newer than that, then you need to select Slide layout, after right clicking on a slide. In the lower right of the icon block you will see a camcorder image. Click on this image. Select the WMV file.

If you are using the power point version, which is old then go to Select and click on toolbars. In the Control box click the one next to More controls. A Window will open. Select Window media player. This displays a cross on your slide. With the mouse draw a box equal to the size of the movie window. In Window media player you need to right click and choose Properties. Next double click on Custom option. You need to type in the movie name in the general tab. Or else click on Browse and find the WMV file. At last click Ok. Take into consideration that when the "Insert" > "Movies and Sounds" option, this option won’t work for Google earth. It will for other files

I highly recommend the Google Software Pack. It comes with a lot of great software that is all FREE. You can also pick and choose which of the software products you want to download. You don't have to download them all. If you have a Mac or you don't want the Google Software Pack for some reason you can download it directly from the main site.
