Check out this fantastic KML file that lets you view local weather conditions on Google Earth!!
The Google Earth software application is a mapping software application. Of course, there is no doubt that the Google Earth software application is not an ordinary mapping software application. It can best be described as the most revolutionary mapping software application around. However, at the end of the day, the Google Earth software application is a mapping software application. What is the importance of the fact that the Google Earth software application is a mapping software application? Well, the reason why I am focusing on the fact that the Google Earth software application is a mapping software application is to point out the connection between the Google Earth software application and all mapping resources available on the internet today. Many a times, people fail to understand the full implications of using the Google Earth software application. Once the end user of the Google Earth software application begins using the Google Earth software application as a mapping software application, he or she will realize the immense amount of resources available on the internet. The resources can be, at least in theory, be used along with the Google Earth software application. Recently, I came across a network link that helped me determine the local weather conditions in any region of the world that I was viewing through the Google Earth software application.
That is to say, it was possible for me to determine the local weather conditions in the northwestern region of the United States of America by navigating the Google Earth software application to that particular region and activating the layer. How is this possible? Well the layer that can be downloaded from the network link is offered by a Dutch mapping organization. Although the information is in Dutch, any end user of the Google Earth software application with average intelligence can understand the information being shown on the screen. This feature is simply fantastic. Irrespective of where you are currently located, you can determine the current local weather conditions in any region of the world including Antarctica.
The best part is that the information can be viewed on the Google Earth software application. Had the information being provided in the form of a table or a list of figures, the information would have been used by very few people. However, the fact that the information is converted as an image and can be viewed in tandem with the Google Earth software application is what makes it extremely easy- to- use. Once this layer is installed, the end user of the Google Earth software application has to simply focus on a particular region to find out the current weather conditions in that region. Nothing would be more convenient and easier to understand than that.
There are many such fantastic resources available on the internet that can be used to extract more from the Google Earth software application. The Google Earth community is performing the admirable task of bringing the information together and making them available to all the end users of the Google Earth software application.
