Download Google Earth Models into SketchUp
How you will get a location in Google Earth where 3D models are available and how a model designer can download in the SketchUp from the model?
For searching location of model in Google Earth where 3D models are available, first thing is you have to download the 3D warehouse network link on your computer. Without downloading you will get any location or you will get model from Google Earth. You will get 3D Warehouse Network link on 3D warehouse page. It is on the bottom of the page. Or you can also visit the official website of the link. Once you installed the 3D warehouse network link on your computer, you will see special pages of the models. There area special house-shaped markers in Google Earth. The markers indicate the location of SketchUp models.
A little pause should be necessary to mark for that area after moving to a new location in the Google Earth. When you take a moment pause, the markers are displayed on the area. If you see a little blue house marker, then consider that a single model is available at the place. If the different and many colors are appeared, you will get many models at the place. If you closed the zoom in tab you can see enough location where many models are available and multi-colored house marker break up and set into individual blue house markers.
To open model click on a blue link. As soon as you clicked on a blue marker link you will see a balloon that is displayed with information about the model, a thumbnail of it. You will see another link. By clicking on the link the model can be downloaded into Google SketchUp or Google Earth.
The 3D warehouse network link is a Places layer. When you download this link first time, it is stored in temporary places folder and the folder is named as 3D warehouse. You can also close the 3Dwarehoues page after finishing your work. But if you want to continue the link after your current Google Earth session drags the 3D warehouse folder from the “Temporary Places to “My Place Folder”. By dragging it you can use it anytime. If you closed the folder one current Google Earth session, you should have to open the folder again using same procedure. Opening and then using models, takes more time so it is better if you continue and drag it in your “My place folder”. If you leave the 3D warehouse folder on the temporary folder in the ‘my place’ folder, the next time you should close the Google Earth after downloading the network link. You will get a massage about the folder. It informs you that your items did not save in “Temporary Places” folder. The massage also asks you whether you like to save the items in your “My Place” folder. If you like to use the 3D warehouse network link continuously, click on “Yes” tab. And if you do not want use, press “No” tab, which are shown below the massage.
