General trouble shooting issues in Google Earth

I want to remove the ‘Image not found’ window in the image area. How do I do it?

After you have logged in to the client, a compass and a Google logo will be displayed in the detail area of Google Earth. When the images are not properly displayed you will see an image not found icon. Also as soon as you exit the application you will see the "Could not save My Places" error. This problem will occur if there is a non-ASCII character, such as accented characters (ö) or Kanji, in the Microsoft Windows username. In case there is a Chinese, Korean or Japanese version of Windows, you need to upgrade your Google earth.

Why can I see only a white earth on the Google earth?

An appearance of the white earth actually means the graphic cards should be updated. To get the latest graphic cards you need to go to the lap top’s manufacturer.

Importing certain addresses with Google Earth is giving me troubles. What can I do?

All the three versions of Google earth which includes also Google earth plus and pro have the function of ingesting georeferenced and non-georeferenced information. The software also tries to see to it that these files are placed to the place they belong. Any address in Germany, US, Italy, France, Netherlands, Spain etc is correctly ingested. If you address contains a PO box no chances are that it is not located correctly.

My printed images are just black. What will happen now?

In case the image you save and then printed has turned out to be black just edit the color quality of the display device. After you right click on the desktop you need to click Properties. Next click on Settings and then on change Color Quality to Highest Color (32 bit. This will do the job.

I wanted to know if Placemarks backwards compatible.

It is possible for Google earth to read Placemarks from older versions of Keyhole. It means also .kml and .eta files. If the Placemark is not generated in Google earth, there is less possibility of Google earth not recognizing it.

I want to activate the floating screen keyboard on the tablet PC but it is giving me problems. Why is it so?

Some tablet PC do not support Automatic detection of some input fields properly. Google Earth may not support the tablet PC keyboard popup icon. You will have to click on manually on the keyboard icon, which is situated on the taskbar.

My controller does not work with Google Earth. What do I do?

If you are facing any trouble with the controller in Google earth these are the instructions for you. In the Google earth first select tools and then options. Thereafter click on the navigation tab. After attaching the controller to the machine you will see that the "Controller Settings" option is not grayed out any more. Lastly just take care to check the box adjacent to "Enable Controller." If you need any other info just go to the Google web site.

I highly recommend the Google Software Pack. It comes with a lot of great software that is all FREE. You can also pick and choose which of the software products you want to download. You don't have to download them all. If you have a Mac or you don't want the Google Software Pack for some reason you can download it directly from the main site.
