Google earth is a virtual globe. Google earth originally known as Earth Viewer is a software program that uses aerial photography, 3Dimensional views and satellite images to view and explore different parts and corners of the world. The third version, Google Pro is business oriented that contains additional features to Google Earth plus such as movie making, GIS data importer & advanced printing. It is available at $400 annual fee. Google Earth can run on various operating systems like Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Linux and Mac OS X & Free BSD. It is also available online for Firefox, IE6 & IE7. One can even operate them on iPhone OS.

Street View: Google Street View is added in 4.3 version giving 360-degree view of the selected streets and its neighboring metropolitan areas around the world. The recent version features more than 40 cities from United States and Australia. Exploring a photo / image in different angles and directions using this device is possible.
Flight Simulator: Use this feature to fly to any supported location of the world. And it has been recently featured on only two planes - F-16 Fighting Falcon and SR-22.
Sky Mode: It is a feature that allows the user to view astronomical images and stars. This feature is added to Google Earths 4.2 version.
