Get New York Times News in Google Earth
Google has added an entire new layer in its software that displays the New York Times News in it. This is in connection with the region one is viewing with the geographic software. New York Times provides with the geo coded news and Google earth provides the platform to read that news in a 3 dimensional browser. If you want to experience this novel way of getting your dose of regular news, you will have to launch the latest version of Google earth. In it, you have to turn on the folder named as “Geographic Web”. Then click on New York Times placemarks and you will be provide with the recent updated news as well as features related to that particular geographic location.
You can also view more than the headlines, just by clicking on the bar showing “Show this layer”, that is placed at the top of the preview bubble. And that’s it you will be offered with a set of news articles backing back a month. Now it is possible for you to fly on the earth and collect interesting news of your favorite places. You can also view the New York Times layer along with the videos from YouTube or photos from Panoramio or in any other way from the layers panel. This allows you to experience the full range and depth of information provided in Google Earth.

You can also follow the news by location including state, city, country or neighborhood or by section including Foreign, sports, travel, etc. the items are mapped in detail on the layers based on the place names given to the articles when they are submitted to the New York Times.
