Google Earth…Explore your universe!

Google Earth let’s users easily “Fly” to any spot on Earth. Just enter name of place you want to explore or associated data like street address, place name or latitude/ longitude coordinates and Google Earth will take you to that place in minute. Even there is additional information like terrain, 3D buildings, Schools, tourist attractions anything. Currently it has detailed imagery of U.S.A, UK and Canada and 38 major cities around the globe but it has high resolution terrain imagery of entire Earth.

Now Google introduces Google Book Search in Google Earth. It could the first step towards geo-mapping of world’s literary information. This layer allows you to explore location through the world’s books. Select “Google Book Search” layer from “Featured content” folder from content in “Layers” menu. Now look at your 3D viewer you will see small book icons scattered around the planet. Now click on any book icon, pop-up balloon will appear it will display some small amount of text from one of the Book Search’s book referring location you are searching. Also links to the Book Search will appear on window which can help you to know more about that city, place or town.

Google Earth’s Traffic layer is very useful feature of Google Earth. Just select “Traffic” layer are you can see real pictures of traffic conditions that would be very helpful planning your route to your office or choose route with less traffic to reach home early. This information is also useful if you are planning trip or vacation to some unknown place this will help you to select right route or way to reach your destination. This Traffic layer is very useful. Traffic is shown in form of dots on highway like Green for fast, Yellow for average speed, red for slow these dots are clickable and will give you information about current speed of traffic.

Now users of Google Earth can discover and explore the secrets of whole universe. New addition in the latest version of Google Earth is “Sky”. Just go to View menu from toolbar and select “Switch to Sky” and start navigating through Sky. Once you select Sky mode then sky above your current location will appear on 3D viewer. You can navigate using mouse or navigating controls present on3D viewer. This will allow user to explore hundred and million of stars, planets and galaxies. Just as normal Google Earth just type the specific location you want to explore for example if you want to explore Pinwheel galaxy then type in that and click search. Google Earth will take you to Pinwheel galaxy.

Even layers panel from Sky has new additions like Constellations, Backyard Astronomy, Hubble Showcase, The Moon, The Planets, User’s Guide to Galaxies and Life of Star. This new addition was developed by engineers of Google’s Pittsburg office. Google Earth Sky is available in 13 languages including Arabic, Czech, Dutch, Korean, French, Italian, German, English, and Polish. With all these hundred and million stars, planets and galaxies Happy Stargazing!!
