Google Earth – Know how it works
Google allows you to view the entire planet with the help of satellite images and maps, which are stitched together so you can view any location that may be of use to you.

There are more features where you can add certain effects to Google Earth like Polygon; Path; Image Overlay and you can also perform certain functions like Measure the are and distance of a certain place; Email and also Print images.
How it works:
To Use Layers: Layers are nothing but variety of data points of geographic importance, which can be selected to display in the viewing area. Points of Interest, Maps Roads, Terrain, and even the slightest building data are included in this. One can precisely find what he is looking for since the specific items can be checked and unchecked and display only what you need. For example, you only want to check the different local hospitals in your city. Through layers, it is possible to view the different hospitals by clicking that in the layer options.
To Use Places: After getting used to the interface a bit, you can open; organize, save, delete, show and can hide place data. You can also open saved data. In the Places Panel, one can also organize his/her data on the computer hard drive. To organize you can create folders or render, rename, and remove a place mark or folder. To create a folder you must right click on a folder in the places panel and select add>folder from the pop-up menu.
To Manage Search results:
Google Earth displays a matching search result in the 3D viewer with an icon to mark the search. Entire search results can be turned on the display by simply selecting that search folders checkbox. You can also clear search results by simply clicking on the clear button at the bottom of the results listings. Search results can also be printed by clicking on the printable.
To Measure distance and Area: A number of tools are offered y Google to let you measure distance and area. You can measure distance and area by using either a line or path available in all Google earth versions or a circle radius or polygon available only in Google Earth Pro. To do this you must select the ruler from the tools menu choosing the type of shape you want to measure it and the unit of measure like length, perimeter, area, radius, or circumference while positioning it from the 3D aerial view and start clicking in the 3D viewer to get the desired shape.
To Use Image Overlays: Google Sketch-Up 3D models and custom images can be placed over the view of the earth through Google Earth. Additional information regarding the earth can be provided using Image overlays. To Use GPS Devices: If a user possesses a Global Positioning system he could connect it to his computer and import his/her waypoint track data into Google earth however he would require Google Earth Plus or Google Earth Pro as this feature is unavailable in the free version.Google, Google Earth, Google features, Google Earth features,
