Google Earth 4.3 new Features and Sky

The Mountain View based company Google has rolled out what it looks like to be one of the most important releases of Google Earth 4.3 version. The most valuable implementation is the street view feature in Google Earth. With Street View feature users can view street view panoramas straight from their browser. With the updates this function allows the user to view the high resolution pictures directly from their desktop by using Google Earth. There are most important changes made in Google Earth 4.3 straight from the sources like new navigation so that users can take best advantage of the 3D environment in Google Earth. The navigation takes the traditional zoom and pan approach related with mapping programs and integrates the first person, ground level view generally used in video games.

Google Earth version 4.3 contains dozens of quality photos of towns and cities as well as thousands of user added buildings around the world. Firefox have extensively improved the move toward renderings 3D data in order to improve realism and performance of 3D data. The very familiar Google maps feature street view is added to Google Earth version 4.3. This feature offers people to view, easily find and plan the activities important to the location. With the sunlight feature, this is a new addition that allows users to control the sun’s location relative to the Earth. If the user zoomed out to a view of the Earth then they can also control the time lapse in order to view the sun moving across the Earth. Users can also view the beautiful sunrise and sunsets by zooming in to the particular city.

Image acquisition date is one of the most requested feature of the Google Earth that gives the users the exact date of a given area when the imagery was taken. Version 3 has included new twelve languages i.e. Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Norwegian, Portuguese, English (UK), Finnish, Hebrew and Romanian.

There are also new set of features has been brought for SKY in Google Earth. By using NASA’s telescope user can view the look of the universe from different wavelengths like from infrared light all the way through radio waves, X-rays and ultraviolet. The users can also play with the clearness of the various overlays for the Sombrero galaxy in order to see different parts of the galaxy light up in different wavelengths. If the user is a night watcher, then the Sky and Earth layer has added Podcasts that allows users to learn everything about the happening in the sky or related to it.

If the user has an extra interest in the history, then he or she will be satisfied to find out that the new version also includes some sight of the sky the same as seen by the astronomers in the 17th century drawn from the U.S Naval Library. Google maps API has also added the availability of Moon, Mars and Sky that allows every developer the chance to build websites and applications using imagery from the services provided by the Google Sky.

You don't have to download them all. If you have a Mac or you don't want the Google Software Pack for some reason you can download it directly from the main site.
