Are you a creative person? Are you interested in creating 3D Models of your own? Google earth brings to you a new service called Google Sketch up. With the new Google Sketch up you can design and also create your own 3D models of homes, churches, school and many more. It is actually a 3D modeling program that is very easy to grasp. Not only this but it also gives you can add glass, color shade and texture to your creation. Give them the appropriate dimensions and put up your creations on the Google earth. If you want to share it with others, you can post it on 3D Warehouse. These models can also be printed. Who knows with the new Google Sketch up you may discover a hidden talent of 3D modeling in you.

This service is cost free for personal use and one does not need to do any kind of registration for this. So if you are ready to get started, you have the following options to learn. There are Google videos tutorials available that teach you to 3D modeling using Google Sketch. The instructor guides you about the function of each tool in Google Sketch up. It is situated in the windows Menu. One you click on any of the buttons their functions are automatically displayed. Google Sketch Up Online Help helps the user in using then Sketch up along with its tools and accessories. It is situated in the Help Menu in the name of Sketch up Help. Google SketchUp Help Center will answer any of your queries regarding Google Sketch up. Just type in your question and bingo! Get the answer ready. Google SketchUp User Group is an interactive group where you can raise your doubts and share your experiences while using Google Sketch up. Once you have made your 3D model, you may be wanting to position it somewhere. Be careful while doing this because, if the model if incorrectly placed it might not be visible. In other words do not let it be submerged under the earths surface. You need to orbit so as to look at the model. It is recommended to test your model before you use it. The sketchUp Pro users should configure the axes in the Sketch up model. These should be set to default position before the article is submitted to the 3D Warehouse. The orientation of the model is very important when submitting to the 3D Warehouse. If you have put any textures to your model and would like these textures to be displayed in the Google earth, you need to have a updated version of Google Sketch up (free).

To share your model in the 3D Warehouse, open the Google Menu and click the Share model option. Sign in with your Google account on the 3D Warehouse page and type the name of your model on the "Upload to 3D Warehouse". When you have finished adding all the details like location, tags etc, just say “Upload”. Your own 3D model is now uploaded. This your wonderful creation using the new Google Sketch up.
