Google Sketchup

Use of Google Sketchup

SketchUp can be used for 3D modeling purposes like designing different types of models or any form of art that anyone can ever think off. It can be used for designing of technical and non-technical layouts in 2D and 3D(though some of the 3D designs need the SketchUp Pro version)

Some of the 3D designs can be imported and worked upon by other CAD programs and so it’s kind of platform independent

I highly recommend the Google Software Pack. It comes with a lot of great software that is all FREE. You can also pick and choose which of the software products you want to download. You don't have to download them all. If you have a Mac or you don't want the Google Software Pack for some reason you can download it directly from the main site.
