Installing and Uninstalling Google Earth

Google earth is one of the most sophisticated 3D earth viewer software, easy to understand. However, you may find to difficult if there are some discrepancies while installing or upgrading the software.

How to use the deactivate feature for installing Google Earth pro or Google Earth plus on a 3rd machine?

The license key of every Google Earth subscription is limited to 2 installations per user. Deactivation feature allows users to remove activation of their license key from 1 machine and then transfer it to the third. To use deactivation feature you will have to download the recent version of Google Earth. After you install the recent version first log in and then choose the option 'Deactivate Google Earth X license' where X is the version of your Google Earth. Then you will be able to see the options listed below:

Deactivate this computer: Using this option, you can remove Google Earth pro or Google Earth plus activation from the computer you are using currently. Deactivate all the computers: With the help of this option, you will be able to remove current Google Earth pro or Google Earth plus activations. For using your license key on the computer, which you have deactivated, follow steps given below:

1] Go to help option and select 'deactivate Google Earth'

2] Choose 'deactivate this computer'.

3] Reenter the login details

What are the steps for accessing Google Earth plus?

In order to access this software on your computer, follow these steps given below:

1] Download the recent version of the software from earth.google.com

2] After downloading the software, you need to double click on 'Google Installer.exe' file for installing the program.

3] Once you complete the installation process, open Google Earth program

4] In this software application, a login screen will pop up. If it doesn't select the 'help' button and then choose “Upgrade to Google Earth plus”

5] In login screen enter your email address/username and the license key

What is the procedure for uninstalling Google Earth software application?

To uninstall this software, drag Google Earth software icon from the desktop to trash. You don't have to run any kind of installer.

If you intend to remove all Google Earth components then you should follow the steps given below:

1] Go to Finder.

2] Double click on home directory icon that is labeled with the user ID

3] Select library option. Then choose 'Caches> Google Earth for deleting the files.

4] Also delete files at Library > Application Support > Google Earth.

Is it possible to install Google Earth on Linux operating system?

Yes, installation of Google Earth software on Linux operating system is possible. Follow the instructions to get the required result.

1] For downloading the software visit earth.google.com

2] Click on Linux radio button under category beta and then choose 'Download Google Earth.

3] Open a terminal console/window and then navigate to default downloads directory. You will then have to enter a command in director called' Google Earth linux.bin
