Measuring distance with Google earth
Google earth is great mapping software that will help you find any address on the world by sitting at your home. Enter address and press search you will get the results with directions to reach the address from your place. You can add comments, if you do not find the result is appropriate for other user, which they may consider when they are travelling around. You can create your personalized guide and can save it in your private space and give appropriate permission like read, right or read and right according to your wish. There is Window Ruler that used to measure area, length and circumference. If you want to measure the same then make sure, you have set top-down view. To get best accuracy, turn off the terrain. The application measure distance by using latitude/longitude coordinates from one point to another. You will get the ruler option from Tools menu and when you click on the menu, a dialog box will appear which does not obstruct. Move this dialog box to a region of your screen. There are different chooses for shape which you want to measure with. However, best option is line or path.
There are different measures for unit like length, perimeter or radius. Many users measure using circle or polygon Click on the starting point and drag until the end point. You will see the red point, which indicates the starting point and the yellow mark is the end of the distance you wish to measure.
