Some of the maps on Google maps may be useful to my web site. Can I add the same to my web site?
Of course you can do so. If your web site is used for free consumer use, you can implement Google maps API on it. There is a separate web site if you wish to learn about Google maps.
If your satellites are real time, what about my privacy?
User privacy is of main concern to Google maps. The images taken on Google maps are not real time in nature. They are collected from public and commercial resources. The images one sees in Google earth is the same as the view seen from an air plane or while driving on any place on the earth.
Can I use Google maps anywhere?
With Google maps you get services like maps, satellite imagery, business locations, business searches etc. Countries like China, Spain, UK, US, Germany, Italy etc have access to full functionality of Google maps. In Japan you get everything except driving tips and directions. Some other countries where Google maps functions are Belgium, Andorra, Poland, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland. If you want to add listings to Google Maps, you can do so in Germany, Japan, Spain, Canada.
Is any info received by Google when the user makes use of Send to Phone?
If the user sends a message by making use of Google Send to Phone, information on the IP address, some cookies, the receivers number, receivers carrier etc is sent to Google. Sometimes the message text is also checked to rectify any technical problems.
I have heard about the Google Transit Trip Planner. Can I get it in my area?

I have made some files for Google earth in KML. Can Google maps read this?
Google earthy makes use of KML files or KMZ files to share its geographical information. These files can now be read by Google maps. Now you can view any data created and shared in Google earths in Google maps as well. This feature can be now used if you want to plot points of interest, mark any regions or if you want to draw lines. You need to click the URL of your KML file in the Maps search box and click the Search button. If you want to share the map with your friends, you can click on "Link to this page" link. This link will appear at the right corner at the top of the page. As of now Google maps supports KML files that have lines, styles, polygons, points, icons and also network links. There are also plans to add screen overlays, ground overlays, folders etc. you should also keep in mind that if you want your KML files to be viewed in Google maps it should be on a web site.Google, Google earth, Google maps
