Optimization of SketchUp Model
Optimization means bring flexibility in the model so that you can use it for more than one work. There are number of models, which are very complex and so we can not use them for different works. We are talking about sketching and designing models and not about real models that are existed in the world.
There are different imaginative structures in our mind and we try to bring it in reality. However, we can’t, because of more complexity and psychological harassments. Second thing is that it takes more time and if won’t successful you could have wasted your time in the plan preparation.
Therefore Google Earth and Google SketchUp brought many tools for more conveniences. “To optimize” is one of them. Using image texture you can apply new dimension to the already existed picture. Using this tool you can save your time and bring more simplicity in the model and than that were in earlier image or picture.
First thing is, decide what model you want to create and for what purpose. Then choose a picture form SketchUp and apply texture to your model. if your model already has colors do not apply transparency. You can also use JPG and PNG tools to look through or into the model so that could become easier to use other tools effectively.
Second thing use hardware and software tools those have enough capacity and SketchUp, Google Earth can support them. It is often good if you use advanced application. Otherwise you won’t give you result as what it should be. Creating simple model is very easy thing. Before using image structure we would like to tell you that read all instructions and information carefully so that you can use it properly and get better results.
Here we have given some points about hoe to use image structure with your work. Select a current picture from Google Earth and trace the footprint. Draw model up to the enough height with its actual dimension. If you do not get the correct dimension of the image do not worry. When you will pull it up the dimensions will be created and you design accordingly.
You do not need to apply any geometrically features like window or doors. They are common features in every model. but suppose if you must have to create major geometrical tools such as porticoes, wings, porches and roofs and dormers. After completion of model, import and place it in the SketchUp. Click on ‘File’ menu and go to the ‘import’ option select the file. Then browse and select the image. Apply the textures by clicking on “Use as Texture” press “Open” tab.
To set one of the corners click on a corner of the structure. Stretch the corner across to the opposite corner and click again. The image converts into texture and shows faces. If you do not like current position you can bring it on reposition situation. Just right click it (Ctrl + click) and choose “texture and point to “Position”.
