Organizing places data in Google earth

If you are familiar with marking places in earth then learning how to organize places data, how to save places data, how to delete places data and how to shoe and hide places data is not difficult. In this article, we will discuss the ways through which we can perform these tasks. First of all we will discuss about what are the ways to organize saved data in the places panel. The task of organizing data into places panel is same as the task of organizing files in the hard drive of your computer.

In order to organize places data we have to perform some tasks like creating folders, recording folders, renaming folders and removing a folder. Now we will discuss the detail description of these tasks. First, we will discuss how to create folders. You can create folders and can move some folders, shapes, and placemarks. To create folder, you must right click on the folder in the places panel, then from pop-up menu, you have to select Add>folder. Now right click on this Add

Style/color: If your new folder contains some new icons, you can make use of style/color feature. It is amazing feature because with this feature you are able apply icon and styles for items from folder.

View: after completing the process of setting a view for your folder, you must double click folder, it repositions the three-dimension viewer to the position, which you have chosen.

Now have a look on how to rename a folder. In order to rename a folder, you have to right click o folder, then select rename option. After this in the name field insert the name that you want. You can rename your folder with another way like selecting the rename option from the edit menu and you can also rename your folder by selecting the folder, then press F2 key of your keyboard.

Now let’s have a look on how we can remove a folder. If you want to delete your folder, right click on your folder, and then select delete option. Now let’s have a look on how we can open saved placemarks on our computer’s hard drive. In order to do this first we should select open option from file menu. After this go to that folder which consists of KMZ and KML information, which you wish to open in Google, earth. Now you must select the file and click open option. After completing this process, you can see the folder appears under the folder of temporary places. Now locate the file that you want to open. After completing the process of locating file in computer, dragging and dropping KMZ file over three-dimensional viewer is possible.

Now let’s have a look on deleting places data from places panel. In order to delete the places data from places panel, you must right click on folder, then from pop-up menu select the delete option. There is another way to delete items from 3d viewer like clicking on icon and then from pop-up menu selecting delete option.
