Reasons of Default Placing Models
We create models and place them into Google Earth. Sometimes we bring them from Google Earth model storage department. While sometimes we create our own models and place them into Google Earth. People often make many mistakes about language and page and therefore, model can be placed in default position. Language and Correct positions these two are common mistakes. When you are trying to view your model in the Google Earth the model does not viewed correctly and then confused that why this condition happened. Here are some common reasons that are made by users. If you understand the reasons and grounds your model would not be on default locations.
Sometimes a model ends up with default position when you try to view your SketchUp model in Google Earth. First reason is that which method you used to open the model in Google Earth. There are numbers of method that are used to open a model in Google Earth. Using methods also depend on the model creating methods. It is often better to use specific method to open the model. For example if you have taken a terrain image or sample model from Google Earth storage department so you have to use the next step for opening then model. Go to ‘Place Model”. You will get this option in SketchUp. Or you can go “View in Google Earth” in the Google Earth. You can also use 3D Warehouse method. And these are the very methods that give you problems if the model is on default position. But keep in mind it is often better to use these methods. If you used other methods you will be in trouble more. When the model ends up positioned differently, it is the problem language. It is one of the major problems.
If you did not taken a terrain image from the goggle earth creating model and placed on the default location then check the language of the model. .for instance, if you created model in American English version the model will be placed in Colorado or boulder language. The places of models are determined according to the language. There are number languages like London, Paris, Tokyo, Berlin, Rome, Barcelona and so many.
The Model is Sunk Into or Floating Above the Surface :
The terrain could be turned off or on when you are viewing the model in Google Earth. So you will get problems. If you have taken model from Google earth storage department and that model is turned on, then see the correct position of the model whether it is positioned correctly to view your created model. If the original model had turned of you must also have it off. The terrain image could be displayed in 2D and 3D location when you edit or create model in SketchUp. The model should be positioned correctly in order to display model in the Google earth. Make sure that before placing model into Google Earth, the model should be turned on the 3D image terrain. Or model can be uploaded to the 3D Warehouse. If you left the model on the flat 2D image while you are creating or editing a model in SketchUp, it will appear sunk into, below, or above the terrain in the Google Earth.
