What should be done if I see flickering polygons on my screen?

In case you can see polygons flickering on the screen it means that you have to use updated graphic cards. In case you work on a laptop you need to visit the web site of your manufacturer. You will get the updated graphic cards. You can also find out your computers graphic cards if you are not aware. If you still face the problems even after upgrading your graphic cards then you can set DirectX as your default 3D renderer. Just click on “Start” and then on “Programs”. Go to the Google Earth version. Select "Set Google Earth to DirectX mode" and start the Google Earth again.

I use Mac where the screen appears black and green at times. What is exactly the problem?

If your screen looks black when using Google earth on Mac, cookies can be blocked. If you wish to eradicate this problem just make sure your Mac web browser accepts cookies. There are different solutions for different web browsers. If you have Mozilla Firefox, follow the next steps. Go to Firefox in the Firefox menu. When you click “Preferences..;” a new window will be open before you. Click on “Privacy” that is in the left of the window. Next you need to expand the Cookies section and then check the box next to "Allow sites to set cookies." At last say “Ok” to save the changes.

If you are using Safari, go in the Safari menu list and click “Preferences”. You will see a new window open. On the window top you will see a "Security" icon on which you have to click. See to it that "Always" or "Only from sites you navigate to" option is selected under Accept cookies. Lastly save the changes by clicking on “Ok”.

What might be the reason that my controller will not work with Google Earth?

If you are facing any trouble in having controller work with Google earth please follow these steps. Select “Tools” in the Google Earth and select “Options”. Next just click the Navigation tab. Now try attaching the controller to your PC. Make sure that the “Controllers” option is not grayed out. Last you need to check the option "Enable Controller."

I was trying to activate the floating screen keyboard on my PC but he attempt failed. What can be the reasons?

You may find that some input field cannot be automatically deleted in some of the tablet PC models. The tablet form of PC pop up icon is at times not compatible with Google earth. The user must go to the taskbar and manually click on the keyboard icon.

Which of the place marks backward compatible?

If there are older versions of Keyhole .eta or .kml files etc, then Google earth can read such place marks. Keyhole will not be able to recognize those key words that have been generated within Google Earth.
