Terms and conditions to use Google Earth
There are certain terms and conditions that you should follow to use Google earth map and its services. There are certain other conditions that you need to satisfy if you wish to use the same for commercial purpose. There terms are universal and not affects anyone’s nationality. Basic legal terms are specified on ‘Legal Notices’ page. Additional terms and conditions are set forth in ‘Additional Terms’. It is advisable to read all these articles before starting to use the application. Three documents called Universal Terms, legal Notices and Additional terms form an agreement between user and Google to use Google Earth product.
You need to agree Google Privacy Policy to use Google Earth. If you sign up for commercial use of Google earth maps then you do not get right to use maps to others. Before using maps you should be completed all the legal formalities with Google Earth. Redistribute, sub-license, transfer is prohibited. With registering with Google using extract the source code of web service is not allowed unless expressly permitted. By relying of data provided by Google if some contractive action is taken and it failed then Google earth is not responsible for that. While adding your personal data you can see warnings or notices. You should not alter or modify those notices.
Once registered, there is no limit on using the data or source code with your product, system or application. But after adding information into your application, you are responsible for any mishap due to the information. You cannot add information to threaten another person as it violation legal rights. User cannot use email or personal data of members, in wrong manner or unlawful purpose. Files downloaded from site don’t distribute in a legal manner. While becoming a community member, false data should not be submitted to the Google Earth application. You cannot inhibit any other user from using the product. Legal action will be taken against you if you provide false information.
Google earth allows you to control and access variety of data that you won’t see in any other application. It’s not only limited to photographic images but also business listing, reviews and traffic information. You can also choose to access third party content. Terms to use third party contents are specified in additional terms document. When you add any data in application you are the owner of that content. You can change the data on Google earth only you have permission to do so from owner of that contain and Google earth itself.
Google Earth is owned by United States and can be used only for legal purposes. Regulations are provided by US Department of Commerce and Trade, Economics. Whatever data you add it is checked by Google servers from time to time. If there are any problems, Google earth software will make necessary updates for bug fixes and patches by adding plug-ins. If you are registered with the site then you will get automatic update alerts. All legal terms and conditions are specified in Legal Notices.
