Image re projection is also possible in this component.

Google earth server

The responsibility of supporting services such as geo-coding lies with the Google earth server. The client software gets the Google earth data from this component of the Google earth enterprise solution. If you want to ingest data in the Google earth enterprise solution, Google earth server is used. You have to configure Google earth enterprise in two ways. One as an overlay survey or stand alone server. In the overlay server the enterprise data is added to the ASP basemap which Google hosts and delivers. If it is configured as a stand alone server then the dataset is hosted locally.

With the help of the overlay mode, you will have an access to the rich, multi-Terabyte basemap data of Google. You do not even have to license this data update it and also host it. You can view your data like store data, GIS layers, properties, and vehicle locations. If your organization handles large amount of geo data and you can let the whole organization have an access to this data with the stand-alone mode. It is also very easy to use. There can be hundreds of concurrent users can do it through just once server.

I highly recommend the Google Software Pack. It comes with a lot of great software that is all FREE. You can also pick and choose which of the software products you want to download. You don't have to download them all. If you have a Mac or you don't want the Google Software Pack for some reason you can download it directly from the main site.
