In case when the user has installed the Norton personal Firewall software on his machine than in that case there is a chance that the Firewall blocks the access to the server. At the same time you cannot allow all the sites to be unblocked. But to unblock the Google server is a must otherwise the user cannot contact the server. In order to unblock the Google server the following things should be done.
The user has to open the Google Earth and then log in to the site. After that the user has to open the Norton Personal Firewall. After opening the personal Firewall the user has to press the internet access option button. After that click on the add button and move to the location where Google Earth is installed. After doing this the user will receive the message that you are attempting to add the application that already has rules. The user has to press the OK button to this.
From the application rules summary the user has to select the Google Earth option. After that the user has to press the modify button. Later the user has to select the action tab. After that select internet access button and then click on the OK button.
There are times when Google Earth does not work properly. The main reason behind this is the out of date graphic card. Thus in this case the user can update the out of date graphic card. This can help the user to make the Google Earth function properly.
When the user uses a Laptop then it is advised that the user should contact the manufacturer’s web site to know about the new graphic cards. If the user is not aware of the type of graphic card installed on the computer than the best way is to visit the Google site that provides the information of the graphic cards
there are times when the direction tabs in Google Earth do not recognize the address. That is even you type the search name in the search toolbox and Google does not find it, the user has to keep trying. Sometimes there is a message received which says” did you mean” than in that case the user has to copy the name and paste that in the search box. The problem will be solved.
