Using Google earth
Google earth’s main window includes some features through which you can get important information. Search panel is one of the best features of Google earth which allows you to find out places on the earth. There are different ways through which you can find out the places.
You can search a particular location by making use of Fly to tab of Google earth. For doing this first you have to insert the place in input box and then click on search button. Every panel shows the example of a search term. There are various search methods through which you can find places which are as follows:
Exact names: In this kind of search method, if you know the exact name of the location the insert that name in quotation marks for limiting many results to those, which match with whole string.
Keyword: This search method gives list of businesses whose type will match with keyword search, though the keyword is not found in the title of business.
The lawyers panel includes collection of points of interest, which can displayed in 3D viewer, for that only you have to turn on POI feature. The list of points of interest includes businesses, gas stations, restaurants, parks, airports, hospitals, city, schools boundaries, schools and recreation areas. Using sightseeing feature of Google earth is very useful because a sightseeing feature includes many points of interest which are already marked on earth, so that you can explore. For viewing points of interests, enlarge the folder and then double click on any of the entry.
You can also find out community maps, which are produced by Google earth users. For this first you have to search a place and then for viewing user-created content you have to scroll to the bottom side of search results from search panel. Now you will see that in the 3D viewer user-created content is appeared having blue marks. By clicking on any one of the blue marker you can learn as well as view more information.
Locating, saving, organizing, and revisiting placemarks is possible through the places panel feature of Google earth. When you start your Google earth, the places panel includes vacant My Places folder for holding places which you wish to save. You can make use of places panel feature of Google earth for saving and organizing places which you visit. Now we will discuss about how we can add a placemark in MY Places folder.
