What I like about Google Earth
I think Google Earth is one of the coolest inventions EVER. The other day I was playing with it, with a friend of mine. We input his address and mine and watched as we flew across town checking out my house and his and everything in between. Then we flew across the Grand Canyon, just for fun. I’ve always loved maps and globes, but there’s just never been this sort of interactivity with maps and globes before.
You can actually plot points and put notes on them to remember later. You can color code your notes, you can see OTHER people’s location tags. My boss could see his own CAR in his driveway from Google Maps!!!
If you don’t yet HAVE Google Earth, I have to say you just don’t know WHAT you’re missing. This is better than any map or all the maps you’ve ever owned or seen all together, and you can use it in conjunction with your GPS as well. Never be lost or confused again! That means a lot to me personally, as I have a terrible sense of compass direction. And Google Earth and Google Maps together handled all of this for me. I haven’t gotten lost in ages!!!
Check out the Google Earth homepage.
