Abuse and provision of misleading information about the business
The information of the businesses and the collections of other peoples prove to be useful for other people to increase their business. As the people use this information for their business, it should be correct and true. This should not in any way or, for any purpose, misguide the users or the people who want to use this information for their business.
However if such a thing happens, remember that the Microsoft Virtual Earth would consider it as a misconduct by the people who do this. If somebody misguides or cheats you through, this wrong information then you can let the Microsoft know about this. It will take the right actions against this.
The procedure for reporting to the Microsoft about the abuse or the cheating
This you can do if, you view any page of the Live Search Maps for your personal use and find that any part of the information is incorrect or untrue or it is not in accordance to the code of conduct of the Live Search Maps.
In this case first you should let the person who has displayed that information on the Live Search Maps know about your concern. It may be that he may have displayed that information by just a mistake. Therefore, in this case he can correct the information. If this does not happen or, if even you want, you can directly report the Live Search Maps know about it.
Reporting of provision of incorrect information
If you want to report the issue directly to the Live Search Maps then you should follow the following procedure.
a)On the Details page of the business concerned in the case, there is an option for the reporting of the incorrect information.
b)When you click on it you will see a list that contains list the types of feedbacks. From this list select the proper type of feedback, which you want.
c)Then in the feedback box you should provide, what according to you is wrong in the information that the business has provided. You can also enter your suggestions if any.
d)Then fill the remaining form and recheck it. Then lastly click ‘Submit’.
e)This will send your application to the Microsoft.
Reporting of abuse
a)The procedure for this too is similar to the procedure for the reporting of the incorrect information.
b)Open the Details page that contains the details of the business which is concerned in this case. Then bellow the review section of the page, you should click on the report abuse. You can choose the proper type for this.
c)There is complete form for this too. You should fill it completely and then when you completely fill it, click on ‘Send’.
d)This will send your application to the Microsoft Live Search Maps.
When you send these reports regarding the abuse or incorrect information to the Microsoft Live Search Maps it will review your report. If it finds that what you say is correct it may take the proper actions. However it is not possible for the Microsoft to personally inform you that it received your feedback and that it has reviewed it or acted in favor of it or, found it incorrect.
