1 Creating your own collections

If you want that, your collections should available then click the check box for the option “Turn on sharing”. Further, you will also get some options for the sharing as well. You can choose the ones you like.

g) Then after this click “Save” to save the changes and making them to come in to effect.

2 Opening a collection

a) Access the Live Search Maps with the help of the Windows Live ID.

b) Then from the toolbar select “Collection” and from there click “Open your collections”.

c) This would display a list of collections. From this, you can choose your collection. If this list is not displayed, click “Your collections”.

3 adding items to the collection

a) For this, access the Live Search Maps using the Windows Live ID.

b) Then in the search box enter the search term and give it a search by click the “Search” option.

c) Then click the option “Add to collection” from results pane bellow the search results which you wish to add.

d) Then choose the collection to which you want to add the item or items. After this save the change which also makes them to come into effect.

Note: another simple way for adding the items to the collections is just right click on any location on the map. Then from the options choose “Add a pushpin”.

3 modifying a collection

a) You should access the Live Search Maps using the Windows Live ID.

b) Then from the toolbar, select “Collection” and from the option click “Open your collections”.

c) From the option, choose the collection that you want to modify.

d) Then you can choose one of the following options.

e) From the collections editor, you can use the options for adding deleting, or rearranging the information.

f) If you want to change the properties of the collections then click “Actions” and from the options choose Show properties. This would provide the options to change the properties as title, notes, or the settings for sharing and searching, etc.

if you wish to make your collection available to the users of Live Search Maps then you can click on the option “Turn on sharing”. You have the further options as well for sharing.

Alternatively, if you want to make the collection searchable then choose the box “Make this collection searchable”.

g) After you choose the proper options, you can click save. This not only would save the changes but also make them to come into effect.

4 Rearranging items from the collections

a) Access the Live Search Maps using the Windows Live ID.

b) Then from the toolbar choose “Collections” and further from the options that this would display choose “Open your collections”.

c) Then from the list of collections, you can choose the collection, which is to be edited. If the list does not appear after clicking on “Open your collections” you can get it by clicking on you requires collections.
