Live Search Map - Adding a Business Listings
1) If your business information is similar to one of the previously existing listing, choose the listing which describes your business the best and then continue.
2) If there is no listing which matches your business, click the option for creating a new listing and then you can continue.
3) If no listings are displayed continue.
d) After this you need to sign to Live Search Maps if you are prompted to do so. For it you will require Windows Live ID. If you don not have a Windows Live ID, you should sign up and create one.
e) Then the next section is the section for filling up your contact information. Fill the contact information at which you wish to be contacted by clients.
f) In the section for basic information fill basic information of your business.
g) You can also add additional contact information in your listing. You have the following options for adding additional information. Note that you can add up to 6 items in each section.
Supplemental phone numbers: In this section you will find the option for adding numbers. Click on it and add the additional phone numbers.
Supplemental web pages section: For adding additional web pages click on the option for adding web address.
Supplemental email section: In this section click on the option for adding email address and then you can add up to 6 additional email addresses.
h) Then in the next section named “Hours of operation” choose your operating hours. For this click on “Operating hours” and a list of operating hours will be displayed from which you can choose. You can also mark the days when your business remains closed.
i) The next section is for selecting the payment modes of your choice. In this section select the type of payment modes which are accepted by your business.
j) In the next section you can upload photos related to your business. Browse and choose the photo of your choice and then click open and after that to upload photo.
Live Search Maps also provides you the facility of adding a caption box beneath the photo, which you upload. Note that you can upload up to 10 photos and the maximum, permitted size for photos is 5 MB.
k)In the section for adding additional information, you can add any information which you would like to be displayed along with your listing. Remember in the Specialties, Brands carried and Professional affiliations boxes, you should use semi-colons for separating more than one entry to avoid any confusion for viewers.
l) You can also add contact information about a person whom customers can contact if they are unable to contact you. This you can do in the Professional contacts section. Just click the option for adding additional professional contact and type the persons name and contact information.
m) Lastly click next.
