Notes regarding searching for a person
For searching for a person using the live search maps access the live search maps and then in the search box enter the name of the person. note that as live search maps is used by a number of people there is a great chance that live search maps will display a huge list of people with that name. This can cause some inconvenience. Therefore, it is important to limit the search. For this also enter the location in which your person located.
After you enter the name of the person, you choose the option ‘People’, which is located below the search box. Then click on ‘Search’ button.
Some important notes regarding searching for Locations, Businesses, Collections and People
Unless you mention an area in which you want to search any of these four options, live search maps, will by default display, the results for the current visible area of the map.
It is possible to remove the residential listings from the white pages of MSN. However, note that the changes will take up to 60 days to come into effect.
If you want to expand the search area and retrieve the search, you can just zoom out of the maps and then again click ‘Search’ button.
In the same way, you can narrow down the search area for reducing the search results by zooming in on the map and then clicking ‘Search’ button again.
Also for any keywords entered in the search box, you can change the search results by clicking on the other options below the search box.
Getting driving directions
Getting driving directions as is a very easy task. For this, you just have to enter the start and ends and then the live search maps will directly display both the route map as well as the directions for driving. You can enter any thing as name of street, location, neighborhood, or important landmarks, or points on the map as well.
The procedure for the getting driving directions as follows.
a) First, access the live search maps.
b) There, you will find the option for finding the ‘Directions’. Click on it and live search maps will provide you the boxes to enter the start and the end.
c) Enter the appropriate start and end to your desired journey.
d) Then you can opt whether you want the shortest route or the route, which would require the least time. Choose as per your wish. After this, you can also choose to get the route based on the traffic conditions. For this, check the Choose route based on traffic check box.
e) Then click the button ‘Get directions’. After this live search, maps would provide you the driving directions as well.
f) then you can choose see the driving step directly on the map itself. Just clicking on the desired step will do this.
Notes regarding getting route and driving directions
For some of the business listings the live search maps can provide the general driving directions with respect to the nearby major roads or highways. In such cases, you do not have to mention the starting point. Click 1-click directions from under the search result. This option is present internet the results pane. Then you can select the direction which you want move towards that area.
