MSN Virtual Earth
Microsoft presented Live search Maps in 3-Dimensional. There are many aaha’s but there was question - where is New York City? It was not amid original 3-Dimensional cities which the team of Virtual Earth rolled out. Spectacular new videos of 3-Dimensional rendering of New York City have been provided on the site. Google has licensed technology for doing automated 3-Dimensional rendering for accelerating building of 3-Dimensional cities. It can also run contests and encourage users for building more 3-Dimesnional models with the help of Sketch-up as well as its rendering tool.
3-D is good for luxurious automobiles, which people do not purchase as they are too expensive. For day to day utilizations, these 3-Diemsnional maps are very slow on the program Google Earth and Windows live for loading. They are interesting and useful for certain purposes. They are more of a novelty for many people and so 3-Dimensional mapping is best to use. It is more practical version of SecondLife, “metaverses, which will definitely provide much more content, social networking and e-commerce opportunities.
All these 3-Dimesnional worlds play well even on TV as in the Internet expansion, which makes it way into our living room. Microsoft launched beta version of the program Virtual Earth which is a web-based application, which unites local search with aerial photography as well as maps. You are also able to zoom in and zoom out of images, drag images around within display span. The search interface is very similar to MSN local search where it specifies, where and what forms you are searching for.
Text results of searches are always displayed in floating pop up windows in the left side of display. When you click on search results, there opens an information box on the map that you are recently viewing. Here you will also find a scratch pad that permits users to capture the address, description and name of search results. You are also able to review these notes or email them to anyone. Aerial photographs that are available in this program are overlaid with labels that show landmarks, street maps and exciting features with directional arrows for one way streets.
It’s the best feature that helps you when you study new driving route or are trying to figure out best navigation options. The permalink is another best function, which saves screenshot of each and everything that you open in the program Virtual Earth including search results. It also creates a URL which can restore everything in the view. But instead of providing an intuitive way of saving permalinks, as you do with scratch pad, you should bookmark as well as email a permalink into the clipboard and then save it to other program. It is a wonderful way of saving information about places.
