Navigating through the 2D maps
The navigation controls for the Live Search Maps are very easy and there are a number of options, which are available for each of the functions.
The functions like ‘zoom-in’, ‘zoom-out’, and focusing at a particular point proves to be of great use for the viewers of the maps. These functions make it possible to fit the maps of the whole world in such small place as the screen of the computer. The different method for each of them is as bellow.
Zoom out the maps
For zooming out of the maps also, there are a number of options. You can use any of the following.
a) Using the zoom button- In the control view button there is an option of zoom out. When you click on this button once, you will zoom out of the maps by one level. Similarly click as many times as you want to zoom out of the maps.
b) By using the scroll of the mouse- when you scroll the scroll towards you, you will zoom out of the maps.
c) By use of the minus (-) key- pressing the minus key will also take you out of the maps level by level.
d) Another simple method for this is holding the ALT key and then double clicking at any point on the map. When you do this, you zoom out of the maps and in addition to this, you also center the maps to point on which you click.
Zoom in of the maps
For this, you can use different methods, which are exactly opposite to the zooming in.
a) Using the view control- in this there is a key for zooming in on the maps. This is in the form of a magnifying lens having a plus sign in the center. As many times you click on it the same many levels, you will zoom in on the maps.
b) Clicking on the plus key on the keyboard will also take you inside the maps. This is exactly opposite to clicking the minus key.
c) Using the scroll of the mouse- when you scroll the mouse towards you, you zoom in on the maps.
d) Another method similar to the zooming out of the maps is that you hold the ALT key and then click at a desired point in which you wish to focus the map. This will not only zoom in on that point but also will center the map at that point.
Focusing the maps on a particular area
For this, there are two methods, which are as given bellow. For both of them you have to drag box at the desired point on the map. The methods differ in the procedure for dragging the box.
a) You can directly drag the box on the maps with just clicking on it with the central button of the mouse or alternatively using the mouse scroll button.
b) Or you can also hold down the ALT key and then use the left button of the mouse.
