Searching for business, collection, people and locations
In virtual earth to search, a specific location is too easy. Here some basics of the steps have been explained just go through it.
1. Open Live Search Maps.
2. Then under the search maps box, you will find the options like businesses, collections, people, and locations.
3. In the search maps box enter one of the following.
a) Name of a business or category.
b) Name of a person.
c) Name of collection or category.
d) Address or partial address, of location, landmarks neighborhood.
Remember, when you are search for a location, use commas for separating lines in the address. Moreover, try to provide as address as possible. This will make sure that you get the best possible match in the search results. Users generally forget to mention the name of country as they think that won’t be important as they are mentioning the name of the city. However, it is very important to mention the name of the country. Provide as much neighborhoods and landmarks as possible.
4. Lastly, click Search Maps.

b) If you are not searching in a specific location, your search will be limited for the area of map currently visible on the screen.
c) You can also remove a residential listing from the MSN White Pages. However, remember that it may take up to 60 days for you changes to come to effect in live maps.
d) If you want to expand or narrow down the area of your search, you can zoom out or in and on doing so click Search Maps again. Thus, can increase or decrease the number of results for your search.
e) For changing the type of search results for the same keyword, click another type from under the Search Maps box.
Exploring collections
Besides the facility to add your own collections or searching for collections of other people, Live Search Maps also provides you the facility for exploring collections for a particular geographic area like a city, neighborhood, or town. When you explore collections for a particular are you view all the information about that place. This information is the one, which is collected and distributed by others.
The procedure for doing so is as given under.
1. Open Live Search Maps website
2. Then click the option Collections on the toolbar. Then from the options, which you get, select “Explore collections”.
3. You may require to zoom in closer for exploring the available collections on your map. In such a case, you can click and drag the location, which you want, to the center of the map. Then from the options in the left pane choose “Zoom in”.
4. For arranging the results from the left pane, you can do one of the following things.
a) Sort results by clicking “Distance” and “Data updated”
b) For displaying results for a particular tag, click the option “All tags” and then you can choose the tag you want.
c) For displaying the results that have photos, click items with photos button.
