Searching Local Listing Center for people, collections, businesses, and locations

Besides searching for collections Live Search Maps provides you another feature, i.e. to view all the collections which for a specific area of map. These collections also are posted by other users.

You have to choose the area over which you want to search. If you do not choose any area, your search will be limited only to the area that visible on the screen while you were searching.

You can remove your residential listing form the msn white pages as well.

You can at any time expand or narrow down your search. If you have already searched Live Search Maps for something, then you can zoom in or out to limit or spread out your search. In the same way, you can focus to map at certain place and then again click center or search. This will give you results for that area.

Similar to changing the area of your search you can also change the type of your search by just clicking the option form under the search box.

Exploring collections

This is a very useful feature. When you are viewing the maps of particular town, city, etc, you can view the collections related to them. The collections contain very interesting and useful information. As they are related to that area only, you can know more about that area or the people living there. Doing this is very simple the procedure is as given below.

1. Open the Live Search Maps website.

2. Then on the toolbar, you will find the option collections. Click on it and from the further options that appear on the screen, choose the option to explore collections.

3. Note the collections will not appear if you are viewing the maps at a very less zoom level. Therefore, you should better zoom in to a city or town level if you want to explore collections. Also, remember on the maps, you need to center the place, which you want to explore and then you can explore the collections for that place.

4. Then you can arrange the results, which are going to be displayed in the left pane. For this, you can do not of the following things.

a) For, sorting them according to date when they were updated click the option date updated. Similarly, for sorting them according to the distance the center point, click the option distance.

b) For displaying the results according other particular tag, click the option all tags and then you can chose the tag, which you want.

c) For displaying the results, which include photos, there is an option for choosing the items with photos.

d) Similarly, for viewing the categories including 3D views of building you can choose the option, items with 3D buildings.

e) For obtaining the results having Map Cruncher Beta for Microsoft Virtual Earth layers, you can click the option Map Cruncher Beta layers.

In this way, you have number options to limit your search to the area, which you want and thus exploring collections on Live Search Maps is really convenient and useful.
