The Virtual Earth introduction
The Virtual Earth is like an online atlas having the maps of the different region of the earth. The Virtual Earth covers all the regions of the world. However, the resolution up to which you can zoom in on the maps depends upon the location of the place. For the USA and some of the countries in the Europe the Virtual Earth would provide images that even shows the houses trees etc in the cites with great details. And for the other countries however there are limitations to the level at which we can zoom in on the maps.
The features of the Virtual Earth includes the virtual images of the places as they would appear from satellite or birds eyes or aerially. In addition to these, it also contains the political and roadmaps of the regions of the world. It has good tools and features through which you can browse through the maps with ease and comfort. For browsing through the maps you can also directly drag the maps on the computer screen and then take the pointer to the exact point of your interest.
The Virtual Earth in addition to this also features listings consisting of the businesses, tourist attractions and other destinations, which the viewers may be searching for. Once you make them on Virtual Earth will automatically display them on the screen wherever you go on the map. You can also add your listings in them if you want that you should find customers for your business through viewing them. In this way, you can increase your business without the need for advertising or the other methods. The adding of the business listing is very simple task and you have to do it online.
In addition to all these features the Virtual Earth would allow you to copy the maps and other data that it provides on your computer. You can make use of it for drawing your own maps. The advantage of this feature sis that you can customize the maps and thus set them for highlighting or easily finding the particular things that may interest you. For example on the copied image of the map you can mark some destinations which are of some use to you.
In addition to this you can also mark routes for the journeys. One more useful feature of the Virtual Earth is that it can help you to find the route for a particular destination. However this feature is not available in all the parts of the world.
The accuracy of the Virtual Earth is also an important feature that makes it different from such other competitors as Google Earth.
