Virtual Earth 3D
Virtual Earth 3D by Microsoft is a first rate program which can be used to explore, leaf through and manage the entire information obtained from the real world which can be seen in 3D. When we use this program, everything can be seen in 3D and significant data can be found from the live maps, which are more functional than ever. To use the Virtual Earth 3D we need to have Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, windows 7, Firefox 1.5 or Firefox 2.0.
With the Microsoft releasing their Virtual Earth 3D, 3D has come out of the sphere of Google, ESRI and NASA and is now available for the common man. This digital globe is unusual; it runs in the web browser. It is visually astonishing and the details provided by it are better than Google Earth is. This mapping platform by Microsoft was developed in a manner that it is easy to upgrade in its future versions. A system that can be modified; details, fresh data can be added and its efficiency can be increased.
The Virtual Earth 3D web control was developed in a way that makes it easy for Microsoft to add functionality, detail, and new types of data and interactions in future versions. In future versions, you will see the range of tasks that can be performed in Virtual Earth 3D increase, quite possibly to include commerce, social activity, and many other types of interactions. We also provide 3rd party developers with access to the control, and they can utilize the control today inside of many different application types. With subsequent versions we will work to make the developer APIs more powerful and flexible, while maintaining the remarkable ease of integration they provide today.
The Microsoft people have been upgrading the Virtual Earth 3D. There are some features which were not available in the original version of Virtual Earth 3D i.e. they are its new features that are available in the upgraded version. These features are improved 3D buildings, export to KML, improved 3D modeling and bird’s eye view, movie capture, real-time traffic, improved KML support and map Cruncher integration.
For the improvement of the Virtual Earth 3D these new features have been added by the Microsoft people and for the addition of these features, the other related modifications have been made and thus the quality has been enhanced.
For example, the 3D buildings have been improved by upgrading the resolution of the texture, increasing the coverage range to suburban areas as well and the trees have been included. They have improved the 3D modeling tool and 3DVidia. In the bird’s eye, view the street or map labels can be seen which makes it a better feature. In addition, they have integrated the map Cruncher application with the Virtual Earth 3d and with this application the photos and maps can be placed on a location very precisely. For the real-time traffic feature, they have added a new application for traffic, which is called Clear Flow, and this predicts the traffic pattern according to the traffic data provided. All these features are significant upgrades to Virtual Earth 3D and make it very impressive.Technorati Tags: Microsoft, Virtual Earth’s features, using Virtual Earth,
