When you complete the process of drawing a path or mark the area on maps, Virtual Earth user is able to edit colors. Virtual Earth provides you the capability of marking areas of interest on maps. To activate this tool, you just need to click on the point of maps from where you want that area to begin. After this, you have to hold down mouse key and then drag the explorer points to cover up the related area you want. While doing this, you also need to click on ‘additional points’. Once you have chosen the area that you want, you need to double click on a point from where you started the area to close the marking tool. Virtual Earth includes many useful tools. With the help of these tools, you can do many things in this program.
You can even insert additional features to this area, which you have marked. For doing this, you need to go to the Edit items dialog box. By using these options, you can select an appropriate set, which you wish to apply for the marked area. Only then you are able to enter any of the following things in the map. In notes you can provide any relevant data, which offer the viewer important data about the area. This can also improve the usability of the maps as well as the area, which you have marked. For this, limit is of 1000 characters.
The Title will show you the name of that area and therefore, it will inform the viewer about that area, which they are presently viewing. Whereas, you are also able to give a title, which tells the significance of the area, you have marked. Remember to give the title of 100 characters and not beyond that. Most of the time it happens that viewer may need more data than what you have given in the notes. Therefore, it is significant to add a link for the URL, which can provide additional data. Similarly like the photo URL, you must add this URL at the point on the map directly, which can show exact location. After marking the accurate area and offering additional features for the marked area, you must click on ‘save’ option.
It will complete the process and create the map, which has the features that you have selected. A photo URL of an area is or one including the crucial feature of that area is a best enrichment in the usability of a map. Live search maps provide the facility to add a URL, which offers photos of that area. This URL is added in the pushpin form on the maps itself. Once you made the path on the map, you are free to edit its features any time. You are also able to make changes in it. It allows immense flexibility for the users.
